Horses and music... It's not a common combination amongst photographers as far as I can tell. But, they are both passions of mine.

I got my love of horses from learning to ride as a child on my Gran's farm in rural Sussex, and spending time with her herd of Shetland ponies. Although I am unlikely to be troubling a competition leaderboard any time soon, I ride regularly, so I'm used to being around horses both on the yard and out in the field.

I have played in rock bands as well as classical orchestras, so I know very well that combination of nerves and excitement as you walk out on stage. And that feeling when the audience are singing your song back to you, or when you're playing the biggest gig of your career to date - those are the moments I want to capture with my photography.

I am based in Nottingham, but travel around the country.
